So much for commitment

Wow. I can't believe it's been more than a month since I last posted something here. That's really, really pathetic, isn't it? Of course, it was one of my New Year's resolutions to post at least once a week.

In light of that fact, I thought I would revisit some past resolutions, just to see how they fared.

New Year's 2006: Lose the baby weight.
This might happen by the time the "baby" graduates from high school. Or not.

New Year's 2002: Exercise more.
Does walking to the refrigerator count?

New Year's 2000: Survive Y2K
Okay, so it was practically everybody's resolution. But I did it, didn't I?

New Year's 1998: Join a yoga class.
This has actually been a resolution of mine every year since 1998, as well. Somehow, it just never seems to work out, and unfortunately, my bendability is waning.

New Year's 1993: Quit my job and become an Elvis Costello groupie.
Well, I quit the job, anyway.

New Year's 1987: Get my hair cut like Cyndi Lauper.
And there are a year's worth of pictures of me that have mysteriously gone missing...

New Year's 1982: Learn to drive.
According to my husband, it's debatable whether or not I kept this one...

Those are just a few of the resolutions I've made over the years. As you can see, it's been a mixed bag. But I'm definitely going to keep this year's, from now on. I am!

And you can check back and see if I do.
