Chocolate hangover

Well, another visit from the Easter Bunny has come and gone. It's eight o'clock on Sunday night, and I'm nursing a chocolate hangover, watching The Amazing Race. (Go Danny and Oswald!)

Okay, how disgusting are Peeps? You know, those little colored-sugar coated marshmallow chicks. They're just adorable, and I really want to like them. But I don't. Sorta like the Olsen twins, I guess.

I got some great news this weekend. SUBURBAN SECRETS is a finalist for the Holt Medallion in the comedy category! I'm up against some stiff competition, but I feel honored just to be a finalist. No, really. I do! They don't announce the winners until June, so I'm just going to try forget about for the time being. That shouldn't be hard, considering I have another deadline June 7th, for the third book in the Truth or Dare seried. It's tenatively titled "Almost a Widow," but that could change. Wow. I better get to work.

I just finished writing a novella for the NEXT Christmas anthology called CHRISTMAS PRESENCE. It was fun to write, but a little odd trying to get into the Christmas spirit in the middle of March. It'll feel like Christmas all year long, since I get to reread the story two more times during the editing process.

BTW, check out the cover for my new book, MADAM OF THE HOUSE, that comes out in June. I love it! Can you guess what the story is about from the items hanging on the clothesline? If you guessed gigolos and real estate, you're right!

Got to go. I'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms. Time to raid the Easter baskets again.

Just one more egg...
