Addiction
She stands, and clears throat... "Hi, my name is Donna, and I'm an addict." I seriously need a twelve-step program to wean me off of TV. I love it all. Reality. Sit-coms. Drama. Animal Planet. PBS. QVC. VH1. The fact that we have close to 400 stations now does not help me one bit. TIVO is an evil invention. Some of my current faves: 1. The Office. Why doesn't anyone I know watch this show?? It is absolutely hysterical. I was on a high the whole day on Thursday in anticipation of the season premiere. 2. The Dog Whisperer. How does he do that stuff? How many scars does he have? Can he rehabilitate the dog (whoops! I mean the OWNERS of the dog) who pee-pees n shoes? I am obsessed with this show now that we are "expecting" our first puppy. We pick him up October 17 and, unlike when the children were born I figure I better be prepared this time. Hey, I'm not young anymore. 3. Million Dollar Listing. This real estate show set in and around LA features more plastic surgery than "Extreme Makeover." The houses are great, too, and the clients sufficienly insane. 4. Weeds. Suburban soccer mom selling pot to support her kids. Sounds like a plot to me! 5. Survivor. I thought briefly of boycotting this season's show because of the whole racial tribe thing. But then I thought, "What? No tiki torches? No blurred out private parts? No Jeff Probst for sixteen whole weeks? Not!" 6. Antiques Roadshow. (Cue dream sequence...) I am watching an episode shot in Albuquerqe. A woman holds up a small candy dish shaped like an insect. The joyful antiques dealer informs her this little dish is worth...half a million dollars! And that's when I realize...I have THAT EXACT SAME DISH IN MY ATTIC! 7. Two-and-aHalf Men. One can't help but believe that Charlie Sheen isn't stretching a whole lot to play that part. And I've loved Jon Cryer since Pretty in Pink. And Holland Taylor since Bosom Buddies. And Conchita Ferrell since E/R (the old, funny one with Elliot Gould. Remember that one?) And the kid isn't bad, either. 9. I Love the 80s. 'Nuff said. Shows I'm anticipating: 8. LOST. I've only seen the first season (got it last Christmas). I have the second season, but haven't cracked it open yet. Don't know how the whole new season is going to work, what with the three-month hiatus starting in November. 9. Desperate Housewives. What can I say? I like it. Get off my back. 10. Entourage. Do we really have to wait until next May? Sob.

Live, from PA....
Live, from PA (or somewhere in cyberspace), it's.... My New Website! I couldn't love it more if it were a new, six-bedroom, five-bath Tudor with a gourmet kitchen, and inground pool and spa, on seven acres. Okay, that's a lie. I would love that more... But this is pretty darn good! If there's anyone out there, pop in and let me know what you think.

Stage fright
Wow! My new website is nearly finished, and this the first official entry of my blog. Never done this before, so this is exciting. I'm getting stage fright. Will have to think of interesting things write. Does anything interesting ever happen around here? Hmm...
